Appelé aussi Rolle. Débourrement moyen, peu sensible à la pourriture grise, baies grosses, sphériques ou légèrement ovoïdes, jaune doré à maturité ou légèrement mauve. Donne un vin de qualité aromatique, fin et agréable.

Débourrement tardif, assez vigoureux à port érigé. Craint la sécheresse. Petites baies noires, très pruinées, d’aspect bleutées, peau épaisse et dure, avec une chair ferme. Très bon producteur régulier. Donne un vin rouge très coloré, très tannique demandant à vieillir.

Débourrement tardif. Port érigé, vigoureux et très productif, très sensible à l’oïdium. Baies moyennes, noir bleuté à peau épaisse et astringente, jus sucré, incolore à saveur un peu fade. Avec une grosse production donne un vin peu alcoolique, sans caractère, souvent acide. Dans le cas contraire, et sur vielles vignes on obtient un vin coloré et charpenté.

Débourrement tardif, moyennement vigoureux à port étalé. C’est un cépage délicat, sensible aux maladies. Gros producteur, à établir en coteaux caillouteux et secs à bonne exposition. Baies grosses, d’un noir bleuté, peau ferme craquant sous la dent, chair juteuse et sucrée, jus très abondant. Donne un vin généralement peu alcoolique, déficitaire en acidité, très utilisé dans les assemblages.

Débourrement moyen, port dressé, vigoureux et résistant au vent et à la sécheresse. Sensible au mildiou. Gros producteur, donne ces meilleurs résultats sur les coteaux secs et caillouteux. Baies moyennes à pellicule assez épaisse, pulpe fondante et jus abondant. Donne un vin rouge corsé, très capiteux d’une belle couleur mordoré et très utilisé pour le rosé.

Débourrement moyen de vigueur moyenne, ses rameaux sont longs et cassants. Sensible à la sécheresse. Petites baies noires, peau fine mais assez résistante, chair fondante, juteuse avec un gout agréable. Donne un vin rouge remarquable, très coloré, riche en tanins avec un fort potentiel aromatique. Très utilisé en rosé aussi en assemblage.
